Eureka has made grinders in Florence since 1920, and the Mignon is the grinder most people buy when they get serious about espresso at home. Which Eureka grinder

Mignon Manuale 50 – the entry point: stepless grind, no timer, you grind on demand. Right if you want to spend the rest of the budget on the machine.

Mignon Specialità – the one most people end up with: 55mm burrs, timed dosing, quiet, and grind adjustment by a knob rather than a fight. Pairs with a Bezzera, Rancilio Silvia or similar at home.

Mignon Silenzio and Filtro Silent – the quieter options for open-plan kitchens, and the Filtro for people who brew filter as well as espresso.

Mignon Zero and Libra – Zero for minimal grind retention, Libra for grinding by weight rather than time. For people who weigh every dose anyway.

Oro Mignon Single Dose and Stark – the Oro line for single-dosing and bigger 65mm burrs at home.

Helios 65 and 75 – commercial, on demand, built for a café pulling hundreds of shots a day. The Helios 65 is the one we put on most new café installs; the Helios 75 for the busiest counters.

Zenith 65 Neo and Oro Zeus 85 – the other commercial options: Zenith for a quieter, lower-profile café grinder, Zeus for the highest-volume sites.

Home or commercial: the honest line

A Specialità will handle a small café’s morning rush for a while, but it is a home grinder and the burrs and motor are sized as one. Above about 60 espressos a day, buy a Helios; it will cost less over two years than replacing the Mignon.
