About Machine Filtration
Water is the ingredient nobody orders and the one that breaks machines. A commercial coffee machine boiling hard water will scale up from the inside, and by the time the symptoms are obvious — longer heat-up, weak steam, a shot that tastes flat — the damage is done and it is an engineer visit rather than an afternoon job. Filtration is the cheapest maintenance you will ever buy, and on most manufacturer warranties it is a condition rather than a suggestion.
What we stock. The bulk of this range is BRITA, mainly the PURITY line, alongside IEN, Bravilor and Jura CLARIS cartridges. Coffee machine filters covers the cartridges and heads themselves; filter accessories holds the fittings, hoses and measuring kit that go with them.
Choosing one. Two things decide it: how hard your water is, and how much coffee you make. Hardness sets the type of filter — decarbonisation for scale-forming water, straightforward carbon filtration where scale is not the problem and taste and chlorine are. Volume sets the capacity, and buying a cartridge too small is a false economy because you simply change it more often. If you are not sure which bracket your site falls into, call us rather than guessing.
