Biodegradable brown coffee sleeves handle the single hot cup, making a double-wall cup comfortable to hold and freeing you to use a cheaper single-wall cup underneath. For multiples, moulded pulp fibre carriers come in 2-cup and 4-cup formats and stack flat until needed.

Carriers are also a quiet upsell: people who can carry four coffees buy four coffees. Worth having by the till rather than under the counter.
