Mahlkönig E65S GbW Grind-by-Weight Coffee Grinder (Black)

The Mahlkönig E65S GbW is the grinder that made weight-based dosing standard on busy espresso bars. Set the dose in grams and the grinder stops at that weight, shot after shot, without the drift you get from a timer as beans age or the grind is adjusted.

Recommended daily output: up to 3 kg a day, around 150 double espressos at an 18 g dose. This is our own recommendation based on burr size, not a manufacturer figure.

Grind-by-Weight works through a high-precision load cell under the portafilter support, which weighs the coffee in real time as it falls into the basket. Portafilter Detection recognises which handle has been placed on the forks, picks the matching recipe and starts grinding on its own, so a barista can lock in a single or double without touching the screen. That saves seconds on every shot, cuts training time for new staff and stops dosing mistakes before they reach the machine.

Grind size is set using Mahlkönig’s patented Disc Distance Detection, which shows the actual gap between the burrs on the display. A setting can be written down, repeated exactly and restored after cleaning or a burr change. The 65mm special steel burrs are the same proven set as the standard E65S, with active cooling to keep grind temperature low through a rush and notably quiet running.
