The WMF 1500 S+ is the medium-volume machine in the WMF range, rated for up to 180 cups a day and the successor to the long-running WMF Presto. It is the machine for hotel bars, quick-service and convenience sites and large offices that want a full speciality menu from a 32.5cm-wide unit.
Up to three hoppers and two grinders cover two coffees plus a chocolate or topping, and each hopper can have its own brewing parameters. Dynamic Coffee Assist watches extraction and adjusts grind and dose automatically so the espresso stays consistent as beans age. Milk is a choice of three systems: Basic Milk for hot milk and foam, Easy Milk which adds cold milk and several foam consistencies, or Dynamic Milk which adds cold milk foam and uses Dynamic Milk Assist to control temperature and texture. An optional syrup station holds up to four syrups, purées or spirits and puts up to 20 flavoured specialities on the menu.
The 10 inch colour touchscreen shows product pictures and video, carries your branding and locks down for self-service. Up to 48 drinks can be programmed with small, medium and large sizes. Cleaning depends on the milk system, from WMF’s HACCP-certified Plug&Clean through to the optional AutoClean, which doses and rinses the coffee and milk systems automatically. A SteamJet warms cups, illuminated side panels show the machine’s status, and the height-adjusting spout is optional. Tank or plumbed water, and WMF CoffeeConnect telemetry is optional.
