Opening a café, or tired of juggling four suppliers? We have kitted out coffee shops from Eastbourne since 1993: machine, grinder, coffee, milk, syrups, cups, training and the engineer who turns up when the group head starts dripping. Buy outright or ask about leasing, order consumables online with next working day delivery, and talk to a person on 0800 442299 when you need one.
What we would recommend
Starting out – under 100 drinks a day
A refurbished commercial two-group is usually better value than a new one-group, and it is built for all-day service. Ours are refurbished and backed by our own engineers. Buying for home rather than a counter? See our home espresso machines instead.
- Refurbished Iberital IB7 Compact 2 Group – a proper commercial two-group in a small footprint, refurbished and serviced by our engineers, from £1,350
- Eureka Helios 65 grinder – on demand, commercial burrs, the grinder we put on most new installs
- Summit coffee – our own roast – consistent delivery to delivery, and nobody else sells it
Established – 100 to 300 drinks a day
Two groups so one barista can pull and steam at the same time. A refurbished machine from us is serviced by our own engineers and costs noticeably less than new.
- Refurbished Iberital IB7 2 Group – the full-size version, refurbished by our engineers, from £1,550
- Bezzera Otto 2 Group – the step up for a shop that is already busy
- Eureka Helios 75 grinder – for counters pulling hundreds of shots a day
Busy or multi-site
Three groups, twin grinders and a service contract. At this volume the conversation is about uptime, not price, so ring the sales team and we will spec it properly.
- 3 group and above – for high-volume counters and multi-barista service
- Service contracts – scheduled servicing from our own engineers so the machine does not stop on a Saturday
Why ADS
- Everything from one order. Machine, grinder, beans, milk, syrups, cups and cleaning – one basket, one delivery, one invoice.
- Engineers, not a call centre. Our own service team covers Sussex, Kent, Surrey, Essex and London, and we send parts next day anywhere in mainland UK.
- Barista training. At our Eastbourne showroom or on site, so the machine you have paid for gets used properly. See barista training.
- Family run since 1993. You are dealing with the same people next year.
Tell us what you are opening
Give the sales team the site, the covers and the sort of menu you want and they will put a list together, including leasing options and installation.
Frequently asked questions
Should I lease or buy?
Leasing spreads the cost and is usually treated as an operating expense; buying is cheaper over the life of the machine if you have the cash. Most new cafés lease. The sales team will give you the figures for the machine you are looking at – speak to your accountant about how it is treated.
Do you install?
Yes, within our service area. Outside it we ship and talk you through setup, and we can recommend a local engineer.
Can I try Summit before switching?
Yes. Order a single bag, or ring 0800 442299 and ask about a trade sample.
What if the machine breaks?
A service contract includes call-outs and parts. Without one we charge per visit. Either way it is our engineers, not a subcontractor.
